Assemblyman Mike Norris is hosting the 144th Assembly District’s annual winter clothing drive, helping to keep members of the community warmer this winter with all donations staying within Western New York. All types of new or gently used warm winter clothing items can be donated, but boots – particularly children’s boots – are in high demand.

“As many people are struggling in this economy, I know our community will continue its tradition of generosity this winter to help with the increase of people in need – especially when it comes to children’s items,” Norris said. “As you’re looking to make space in your closets, please consider donating your unused or outgrown items to this drive, as it truly benefits people in need right here in our community.”

Sought-often items include boots, coats, mittens/gloves, hats and scarves. The drive will run from until Dec. 15. Items can be dropped off at Norris’ office located at 8180 Main St., Clarence, or at any of the following partnering locations throughout the Assembly district, including:

√ Middleport Village Hall: 24 Main St.

√ Newfane Town Hall: 2737 Main St.

√ Clarence Town Hall: 1 Town Place

√ Lockport Town Hall: 6560 Dysinger Road

√ Lockport Municipal Building: One Locks Plaza

√ Wilson Town Hall: 375 Lake St.

√ Pendleton Town Hall: 6570 Campbell Boulevard, Lockport
