Obituary: Vance G. Agee Jr.

Vance G. Agee Jr. of Lewiston died March 2, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was 78.

Agee was born July 15, 1944, in Buffalo, and he attended Bennett High School, Houghton College and SUNY Brockport. In 1970, he married Kathleen Marie Reed and, together, they had one child, Dawn.

Agee taught German and English at Pembroke (NY) Jr.-Sr. High School from 1972-77, and held various administrative positions within the Lewiston-Porter Central School District from 1977-2001.

Vance was preceded in death by his father, Vance G. Agee Sr., and by his mother, Ruth Perry (nee Gaiser). He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen; by his daughter, Dawn (Joseph Ferguson); and by grandchildren Nora, Charles and Henry.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 30, at Cask + Cow, 840 Center St., Lewiston.
