Lockport CARES Homeless Shelter is set to graduate a youth volunteer.

Eddie Reeb was 11, almost 12, when he started volunteering for Lockport CARES Homeless Shelter with his parents. Currently 18, he will be attending Robert Wesleyan College in the fall, and wants to be a pastor.

He loves to do the resident and house laundry at the shelter, and takes charge of this when volunteering.

Over the past seven years, Eddie and his mom, Pam, and his dad, Ed, have each clocked well over 1,000 service hours. Youths can volunteer at the shelter when accompanied by an adult. Once they turn 18, they can become a full-fledged volunteer.
