The Lewiston Community Lions recently hosted a bowling event at the Lewiston Event Center for the Niagara Falls High School special needs students. The teens were able to take a field trip from school, and meet the Lewiston Lions for an afternoon of bowling, pizza, pop and laughter.

The Lewiston Event Center did a wonderful job hosting our group, providing handicap services where needed, assistance with the lanes, and overall wonderful customer service. The students said the pizza was great, and it was fun getting strikes, spares and even gutter balls.

"Even though the students are in the same school, they are in different classes, and do not necessarily get to socialize all together. This is really great for them," said Mike Esposito, NFHS educator, and community advocate.

This is what service is all about. This is why we fundraise. All the smiles on the students' faces help keep our club motivated and involved. We are here to serve our community, and help in any way we are able to.
