Applications due April 29
The Yahoo Community Benefit Fund is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations for its 2016 grant cycle. Applications are due at 4 p.m. April 29, and are available for submission at cfgb.org/yahoo.
The fund will award grants annually to organizations that are located in and/or serve Niagara County residents. Preference will be given to organizations or projects that are located in and/or benefit the Greater Lockport area. This year's grant cycle will prioritize applications that support the fund's five interest areas, including:
Approximately $230,000 is available for the 2016 grant cycle. Grant awards are determined by the fund's resident advisory council, with decisions to be announced late July.
Organizations that are interested in learning more about this grant application process are encouraged to attend a grant briefing session from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday, March 29, at the Lockport Ice Arena, 34 Chestnut St.
