HARBORCENTER-based restaurant brings Buffalo favorites to Wembley Stadium
(716) Food and Sport is making the trip to London to give Bills fans and London residents a taste of the 7-1-6. The popular Buffalo sports-dining destination will create a destination within London's historic Wembley Stadium at a concession stand that features the restaurant's favorites. (716) also will join forces with Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas to conduct a chicken wing-eating contest as part of the "NFL on Regent Street" festivities.
"We look forward to bringing a Buffalo presence to this highly anticipated international event," said Dominic Verni, HARBORCENTER's vice president of food and beverage. "This will be a great opportunity to not only make traveling Bills fans feel at home, but also to give people from Europe and around the world a chance to experience some of the culinary delights that make Buffalo great."
(716) has worked together with Delaware North, the Bills concessions partner at Ralph Wilson Stadium, to create the "(716) at Wembley" stand, which will be located in the historic stadium's main fan concourse and will serve Buffalo favorites including roast beef on weck and traditional (716) award-winning chicken wings.
(716) is pleased to be part of the third-annual "NFL on Regent Street" event on Saturday. The all-day fan festival has drawn approximately 600,000 fans in each of the past two years. (716) will add a new element to this year's festivities with the event's first-ever chicken wing eating contest. Bills NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Kelly and back Thomas will be on hand to host the event and award prizes to the contestant who is able to consume the most wings, prepared at the same level as (716)'s home kitchen in Buffalo.
"NFL on Regent Street" will feature an opening parade with the Ohio State Marching Band, on-stage interviews with members of the Bills, Jaguars and NFL legends, interactive activities, live music and much more.
