The Buffalo Sabres today announced plans to host an NHL Draft party presented by First Niagara Friday, June 26, at First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo. Doors for the free event will open at 6 p.m. and draft coverage begins at 7 p.m. The first 3,000 fans to arrive will receive a Sabres-themed giveaway courtesy of First Niagara.

National coverage of the draft will be shown on the high-definition video board and on all TVs in the Lexus Club. WGR 550 will be broadcasting live from the Lexus Club throughout the night. Kevin Sylvester will host the show and will be joined by Sabres play-by-play announcer Rick Jeanneret, Sabres color commentator Rob Ray, analyst Harry Neale, "Sabres Hockey Hotline" co-host Andrew Peters and Kris Baker of SabresProspects.com.

In addition to the draft coverage, a section of the arena floor will be transformed into the Buffalo Sabres Junior Combine presented by IMPACT Sports Performance and the Academy of Hockey. Kids ages 9 to 18 are invited to compete in NHL Combine-style challenges while the draft airs overhead. All participants will receive a scorecard to track their performance. All Junior Combine participants will be required to wear sneakers in order to participate. In addition to the Junior Combine, other kid-friendly activities will take place on the arena floor throughout the event.

Sabres alumni and prospects will be on hand to sign autographs, and fans will have an opportunity to take a tour of First Niagara Center, which will include stops in the locker room, press box and more. Complimentary parking will be available in the arena ramp for fans attending the event. The team also is offering family-friendly concessions prices as well as 25 percent off an entire purchase at the Sabres Store.

Fans unable to attend the draft party at First Niagara Center can follow all Sabres draft coverage on Sabres.com and with the official Buffalo Sabres mobile app.
