"American Idol XIII" and new FOX comedy "Enlisted" are getting into the spirit of the holidays with a special gift during the most wonderful time of the year. From Friday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 24, "American Idol XIII" will provide complimentary gift-wrapping in local shopping centers in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Tampa and Nashville.
At the festive stations, shoppers can have their purchases wrapped in exclusive "Idol"-themed paper, watch clips and exclusive "Idol" content from the all-new season. Also at each station, "Enlisted" will provide shoppers with free postcards to write letters of appreciation to U.S. service members deployed in harm's way. In partnership with Operation Gratitude, the collected postcards will be sent overseas in Operation Gratitude care packages.

Additionally, former "Idol" contestants and "Enlisted" cast members (as available) will stop by the gift-wrapping and postcard stations to spread some holiday cheer.

"Enlisted" is a military-set family comedy about an older sibling (Geoff Stults, "The Finder"), who returns home to reconnect with his two brothers (Chris Lowell, "Veronica Mars"; and Parker Young, "Suburgatory"), and lead a group of misfits on a small Florida Army post. The series will premiere Friday, Jan. 10 (9:30 p.m.).
Operation Gratitude annually sends 100,000-plus care packages filled with snacks, toiletries, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. service members deployed in harm's way, to their children left behind, and to veterans, first responders, wounded warriors and their care givers. The mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member's face, and express to U.S. military and their families the appreciation and support of the American people.
