VA Western New York Healthcare System, in partnership with Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York Inc. and Belmont Housing Resources for WNY, will present a landlord seminar, "Rent to a Vet" on Monday, Dec. 9 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard Post VFW, 2450 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.
Landlords will learn the benefits of renting to veterans and resources available to veterans, including cash security deposit and rental assistance.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program will give a presentation at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., an Ask the Experts will take place with housing inspectors and legal resources. An opportunity to network with service agencies and representatives will begin at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in attending should register at 716-884-2358, ext. 134.
