Buffalo Niagara Travel Professionals to meet in Novemberby jmaloni
The Buffalo Niagara Travel Professionals' November meeting will feature guest speaker Dottie Gallagher-Cohen, president and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, the region's employer-funded economic development organization and the regional chamber of commerce.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Gallagher-Cohen was president and CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara, where she built community awareness about the economic impact of tourism and modernized the organization's technology, marketing and brand platforms. As senior vice president of marketing for The Buffalo News, she was honored with the New York State Governor's Award for excellence in media and served on the executive committee of the Yahoo! Newspaper Consortium.
The event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Rizotto Ristorante, 930 Maple Road, Amherst. It includes networking, a sit-down dinner, the presentation and a Q-and-A. RSVP online at www.bntp.wildapricot.org/events by Nov. 7.
Buffalo Niagara Travel Professionals group has been in existence since 1971 as an organization that recognizes professionals in the travel industry. Its goal is to foster camaraderie and mutual trust among its members and guests, and promote and develop travel knowledge through travel industry speakers and motivational dinner meetings. The organization is comprised of travel agency owners, managers and employees; corporate travel managers/coordinators and staff; as well as respective suppliers in the industry.
