Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show "The Price Is Right," daytime's No. 1-rated series and the longest-running game show in television history, kicks off its 42nd season with two huge events: the introduction of a new pricing game, "Do The Math," and a special all-"Plinko" episode celebrating the 30th anniversary of the fan-favorite game, during its season premiere week, Monday, Sept. 23, through Friday Sept. 27 (11 a.m.), on CBS.

On Monday, Sept. 23, one lucky contestant will be the first to play "Do The Math," a brand-new pricing game. In "Do The Math," the contestant is shown a prize, an amount of money and a second prize. He then has to solve an equation: Does the price of the first prize plus the amount of cash in the middle equal the price of the second prize, or does the price of the first prize minus the amount of cash in the middle equal the price of the second prize? If he solves the equation correctly, he wins both prizes plus the cash.

"Do The Math" is the first new game to be introduced since "Double Cross" premiered in June 2012.

On Friday, Sept. 27, "The Price Is Right" celebrates the 30th anniversary of "Plinko" with a special all-"Plinko" episode when all six contestants who make it on stage will have the opportunity to play the iconic game. In addition to being able to win money, some of the contestants will drop chips for the opportunity to win prizes such as a new car, a trip to London, an air hockey table and an elliptical trainer.

Additional prizes up for grabs during premiere week include a hot tub, a powerboat, a new motorcycle, a new snowmobile, a 70-inch 3D HDTV, trips to Tahiti, Japan, Italy, Argentina, Ireland and more.

Season 42 will also feature a wide variety of themed weeks, including the return of "Big Money Week" and "Celebrity Week," along with the all-new "Dream Car Week," in addition to special stand-alone episodes, including breast cancer awareness, teachers special, Halloween, Veterans Day and April Fools' Day. Plus, "The Price Is Right" will welcome celebrity guest models several times during the season, including stars from CBS daytime shows "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Talk."

"The Price Is Right" won "Outstanding Game Show" at the Daytime Emmy Awards in June. It is the sixth time the show has been honored with the prestigious award, having previously won in 1988, 1996, 1997, 2004 and 2007.

"The Price Is Right" is hosted by Drew Carey.
