'The Chew' is all new during the last days of summerby jmaloni

Celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon and Carla Hall, entertaining expert Clinton Kelly and health and wellness enthusiast Daphne Oz end summer with a bang this week on "The Chew." The program airs weekdays at 1 p.m. on ABC.

Tuesday, Aug. 27 - "Salute to Fruit" - Chef Geoffrey Zakarian guest hosts and faces off with Symon. Whose dessert will win: banana flambee with vanilla whisky sauce and coconut ice cream or banana sour cream pancakes? Radio personality Angie Martinez joins Hall to make a sumptuous summer fruit bake.
Wednesday, Aug. 28 - "Café Le Chew" - Vive la France! Executive Chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin joins Batali to show how to make shrimp bouillabaisse. Kelly gives his own French laundry tips to keep linens and clothing looking magnifique, and Hall creates a delicious chocolate cinnamon palmier.
Thursday, Aug. 29 -"Steak-ation" -Symon and Kelly make pan-roasted rib eye with bacon succotash; HGTV star Sabrina Soto cooks a yummy and affordable pan con bistec (Cuban beefsteak sandwich) and shows Oz and Hall how to turn wine bottles into hurricane lamp centerpieces.
Friday, Aug. 30 - "Extra Value Freaky Friday" - It's a day of unexpected fun. Chef Fabio Viviani guest co-hosts and offers a less caloric take on up Oz's rich recipe for full fat chicken tostada with Fabio's lightened up beef wraps; Hall creates cocktails while Kelly channels Hall's dessert skills by making blueberry pucker bars. Meanwhile, Symon leads a craft corner demo on making a magnetic spice rack.
