Dunkin' Donuts today announced the results of its "Iced Coffee Day" initiative in the greater Buffalo area by presenting Roswell Park Cancer Institute with a donation of $6,732.

During the one-day initiative on May 22, Dunkin' Donuts and its Buffalo franchisees donated $1 from every cup of iced coffee sold at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the greater Buffalo area to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

"Dunkin' Donuts is thrilled to announce the results of our 'Iced Coffee Day' initiative in the greater Buffalo area by making this donation to Roswell Park Cancer Institute," said Dunkin' Donuts Field Marketing Manager Alisa LaPlante. "I'd like to thank residents throughout the Buffalo area for joining us on 'Iced Coffee Day' to raise funds for an organization that is so vital to our community."

The 2013 "Iced Coffee Day" program marks a significant increase in fundraising totals generated through the initiative in the greater Buffalo area. In 2012, the program produced a donation of $4,040. The 2013 fundraising total marks a 50 percent increase in comparison to the previous year.

Located in downtown Buffalo, the mission of RPCI is to understand, prevent and cure cancer. RPCI, founded in 1898, was one of the first cancer centers in the country to be named a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and remains the only facility with this designation in upstate New York.
