The Niagara Hospice Alliance has announced two additional volunteer training sessions for individuals interested in making a difference in the lives of Niagara County residents faced with end-of-life illness. The first training will be held from 5-9 p.m. on April 10 and 11 at the Niagara Falls Conference and Event Center at 101 Old Falls St. Anyone interested in registering should call the Niagara Hospice Alliance at 716-280-0780 by April 5.

The second session is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. on May 14 and 15 at the Niagara Hospice administrative building, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport. Anyone interested in registering for this training should call the Niagara Hospice Alliance at 716-280-0780 by May 9.

Niagara Hospice is looking to grow the number of volunteer services the organization provides to hospice patients, and has launched a volunteer campaign to recruit dedicated and compassionate individuals looking for fulfilling volunteer experiences that truly make a difference. The "Power of One" campaign illustrates how one hour a week from one volunteer can result in many lives changed, including that of the volunteer. Both hospice patient-related and non-patient-related volunteer opportunities are available.

For more information about volunteer opportunities or to complete an application, contact the Niagara Hospice Alliance at 716-280-0748 or email [email protected]. More organization information can be found at www.NiagaraHospice.org.
