Feral Cat Focus' 10th annual "Fusion" fundraiser dinner event will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 6 p.m. at La Galleria Restaurant, 3923 Southwestern Blvd. (Route 20), in Orchard Park.

Feral Cat Focus is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer-based organization founded in 2003 by dedicated people who were concerned about the feral/community cat overpopulation issue in Western New York. From 2003-12, approximately 8,000 feral/community cats were examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated at its spay/neuter clinics. This has prevented the birth of unwanted litters of kittens and allowed for socialized cats and kittens to be adopted into home environments.

Feral Cat Focus has volunteers who educate caregivers about the necessity of proper care for feral/community cats, answer telephone inquiries via a hotline, and loan humane traps to those wanting to help. It is through a partnership with Operation Pets, the spay/neuter clinic of Western New York, that Feral Cat Focus has been able to offer these services for cats.

The "Fusion" event is Feral Cat Focus' only annual fundraiser. There will be an elegant silent auction, as well as a theme basket auction. Local artist Mark Benz's 2013 custom pen and ink prints will be featured, along with many other baskets, unique items and gift certificates.

Edie Offhaus, vice president of Feral Cat Focus, said, "We are expecting over 200 people to attend this year, and we are hopeful that we will be able to raise much-needed funds for our important programs."

"We are so fortunate to have such steadfast supporters who believe in our mission of ending cat overpopulation in WNY through a humane solution," he added.

The attendees will be entertained by "A Grand Knight" sound system featuring a "Band Stand" salute. Three hours of light bar (beer, wine and soda) is included (mixed drinks are not). And, there will be several food and appetizer stations followed by dessert selections.

Tickets are $35 per person pre-purchased or $40 per person if purchased at the door and include dinner and entertainment. Tickets may be purchased online through PayPal by going to http://www.feralcatfocus.org (fundraiser page) or by downloading the registration form and mailing it to Susan Sellingsloh, PO Box 486, Buffalo, NY 14213.
