Lewiston Police Blotter for Jan. 12, 2013

The following activity occurred Monday, Dec. 31, to Sunday, Jan. 6, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 90 response calls during his period.

Monday, Dec. 31

•4500 block of Model City Road, alarm response. All secure; no key holder.

•800 block of Center Street, abandoned vehicle. Vehicle towed; no hold.

•Garlow Road, animal problem. Patrol reported a black pit bull deceased south of Mount Hope Road. Neighbors did not recognize animal. Town Highway Department notified

•900 block of Mohawk Street, larceny. Male reported a camera taken from a vehicle.

•South Ninth Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken; now tows or injuries and MV forms issued. Report filed.

•Kiwanis Park, juvenile problem. Patrol reported three juveniles and unlawful possession of marijuana. Parents notified and responded.

•700 block of Pletcher Road, loud party. Party dispersed, all OK.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, unwanted party. Party left without incident.

•3700 block of Ransomville Road, mental health response. LPD on location to assist Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

•300 block of South Seventh Street, mental health response. Female, 34, listed as complainant and a male and female ages 50 and 52, listed as persons involved. Call unfounded.

•3700 block of Hyland Avenue, fight/assist. LPD requested to assist Niagara Falls Police Department with a large fight. Call disregarded.

•Lewiston boat launch, found body reported. LPD, U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard searched area with negative results.

•Robert Moses Parkway, southbound, injury accident. Female, 54, suffered a medical emergency and was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center. Vehicle towed. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road and Buffalo Street, property-damage accident. Statements taken from the drivers; rear-end collision reported. No injuries or tows. Report filed.

•700 block of Ridge Road, shooter complaint. Patrol checked area with negative results.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

•2500 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road, assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a domestic incident. Call handled.

•Military Road, property-damage accident. One town Highway Department vehicle involved. Statements taken from both drivers; town highway superintendent on location. Report filed.

•4600 block of Washington Drive, criminal mischief. No further details; report filed.

•Niagara County Jail, follow-up to a previous incident. Investigation to continue.

Thursday, Jan. 3

•800 block of Oriole Lane, search warrant. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, 35, for criminal possession of a weapon, in the fourth degree. Further charges are pending. LPD K-9 unit conducted a narcotics search of the residence.

•4400 block of Dickersonville Road, check welfare/EMS. Male, 27, voluntarily transported to Mount St. Mary's EM-Star due to illness from a prescription withdrawal.

•400 block of Ridge Street, burglary in progress. Residents stated they heard footsteps upstairs and found a door open. Patrol spoke with the homeowner; all OK.

•Locations on Ransomville Road, and on the Robert Moses Parkway, separate reports of reckless drivers. Patrol located both vehicles; all OK.

Friday, Jan. 4

•Locations on Swann and Porter-Center roads, Upper Mountain Road (two calls), Townline Road south of Albright Road, Route 429 at Albright Road, Saunders Settlement and Garlow roads and Ridge and Indian Hill roads, separate reports of vehicles in ditches/disabled vehicles. All calls weather-related; patrol handled.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, larceny. Statement taken from a male, 51. Female, no age, listed as a suspect and male, 59, listed as person involved. Investigation to continue.

•1100 block of Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers. No injuries; one vehicle secured. Report filed.

Saturday, Jan. 5

•200 block of South First Street, unwanted party. Patrol spoke with a male, 19, regarding a male suspect, 32. Suspect taken to a Lauren Court residence without incident.

•800 block of Mohawk Street, check welfare. Adult Protective Services notified.

•Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 18, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, in the third degree. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. No tow. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road, animal problem. Patrol reported an injured deer and dispatched same.

•North Eighth Street, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 47, arrested for operation while the registration is suspended/revoked. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. No tow. Report filed.

•5900 block of Hyde Park Boulevard, fraud complaint. Patrol spoke with a family member; investigation to continue.

•LPD office, follow-up. Patrol followed up on a Saunders Settlement Road larceny. Investigation to continue.

Sunday, Jan. 6

•400 block of Riverview Drive, agency assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a male, 21, out of control.

•Lewiston Road, vehicle/traffic stop-DWI arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a female, 24, for driving while intoxicated, driving with more than .08 of 1 percent of alcohol, and moving from a lane unsafely. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Ridge Road, vehicle check. Male, 26, issued uniform traffic ticket, unspecified, for Lewiston Town Court and released. Vehicle towed with 12-hour hold placed. Report filed.

•5700 block of Griffin Street, larceny. Male, no age listed, reported that someone stole his mailbox for the third time within a year. Report filed.

•5700 block of Griffin Street, criminal mischief. Resident reported mailbox damage.

•Saunders Settlement Road, harassment. Statement taken from a female, 29 regarding a female, 28. Report filed.

•Ridge Road, vehicle/traffic stop arrest. Female, 32, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, in the third degree. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Walmore and Saunders Settlement roads, suspicious vehicle/man waving a gun. Male, 27, listed as a suspect. Vehicle continued southbound on Walmore Road. Patrols checked area with negative results. Plate number logged.

•5100 block of Bridgeman Road, mental health response/suicide threat. Female, 41, severely cut her wrist. Subject taken to Mount St. Mary's for emergency treatment and taken to ECMC in Buffalo for surgery and mental health care.
