Youngstown Police Blotter for Dec. 29, 2012

The following activity occurred Monday, Dec. 3, to Saturday, Dec. 15, as reported by the Youngstown Police Department.

Monday, Dec. 3

•Village area, loud noise. Patrol reported noise was coming from an unknown location, possibly Canada. Area checked with negative results.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

•Lockport Street and Glenvale Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 32, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Suspect released on uniform traffic tickets to Porter Town Court; vehicle released to a licensed driver. Report filed.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

•400 block of Main Street, follow-up. Patrol spoke with a male regarding damage to a vehicle.

Friday, Dec. 7

•500 block of East Oak Drive, suspicious person complaint. Statement taken from a male, 18, who reported a male was found standing in the backyard the previous evening and disappeared when he went inside.

•Lower River Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 56, cited for speeding in zone. Driver clocked at 42 mph in a 30 mph zone. Uniform traffic ticket issued.

Saturday, Dec. 8

•700 block of Blairville Road, alarm response. Cancelled en route.

•1100 block of Balmer Road, possible unwanted party. All OK on patrol's arrival; call reported as a civil matter. State Police to file report.

Sunday, Dec. 9

•Fort Niagara State Park, assist. YPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for an intoxicated driver.

Monday, Dec. 10

•Village locations, patrol checks. All secure, otherwise no activity.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

•90 block of Lake Street, criminal mischief. Anonymous resident reports finding mailboxes popped open. Resident reported the backsides of mailboxes were opened overnight; uncertain if contents were removed. U.S. Postal Service to secure. Extra patrols requested.

•100 block of Lake Street, animal problem. Female, 45, reports finding a terrier/corgi mix male dog in her yard. No tag reported, possible Invisible Fence tag. SPCA to be notified.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

•Route 93 and Porter Center Road, shooter complaint. Patrol reports nothing found.

•4000 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter School District, 911 hang-up. Patrol reports nothing found.

•Church Street, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 34, cited for speeding in zone. Driver clocked at 42 mph in a 30 mph zone. Uniform traffic ticket issued.

•Route 93 and East Avenue, assist. YPD on location with NCSO for a two-vehicle accident. NCSO to file report.

Friday, Dec. 14

•200 block of Lockport Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; both vehicles drivable. One uniform traffic ticket issued.

•400 block of Lockport Street, larceny. Patrol spoke with a male regarding an incident that occurred in Niagara Falls. Patrol advised to contact Niagara Falls Police Department.

•Lockport Street, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Male, 30, cited for failure to use designated lane. Male also placed under arrest for unlawful possession of marijuana. Uniform traffic ticket issued and appearance ticket issued for Porter Town Court.

Saturday, Dec. 15

•East Oak Terrace, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 22, placed under arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign. Uniform traffic ticket issued and vehicle released to a licensed driver.

•Lockport Street, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 30, cited sale of an approved traffic device. Uniform traffic ticket issued.
