Assemblyman John D. Ceretto has announced the Conservative Party of New York endorsed him. This gives Ceretto the backing of the Republican, Independence and Conservative parties.

"I am honored to receive the backing of the Conservative Party of New York," Ceretto said. "I'd like to thank State Chairman Michael Long for his support and Niagara County Conservative Party Chairman Daniel Weiss and Erie County Conservative Party Chairman Ralph Lorigo for their hard work in ensuring my campaign obtained more than three times the required petition signatures from all corners of the 145th Assembly District."

"John Ceretto has been a great assemblyman and represents Niagara County conservative values in Albany," Weiss said. "I am proud that he has received the Conservative endorsement and pledge my committee's commitment to seeing he is (re-elected)."

"As chairman of the Niagara County Legislature and a registered conservative, I am proud that John Ceretto has received my party's endorsement," said Bill Ross, C-Wheatfield. "I know John represents conservative values in Albany and I'm thrilled to support him."

"As the chairman of the Grand Island Conservative Committee, we were delighted to receive the news that Assemblyman Ceretto, whose career we have followed with interest, will now become our representative in Albany," said Dr. Kevin Backus. "We have watched him stand up for conservative values and we are confident he will continue to do so and are delighted to have the opportunity to support him."

Ceretto will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot on three lines: row "B" as a Republican, row "C" as an Independent and row "E" as a Conservative.

The newly formed 145th Assembly District is made up of the towns of Cambria, Lewiston, Niagara and Wheatfield; the City of Niagara Falls; a portion of the City of North Tonawanda in Niagara County; and the Town of Grand Island in Erie County.

In addition to the Republican, Independence and Conservative Party endorsements, Ceretto has also been endorsed by State Sen. George Maziarz, Ross, North Tonawanda Mayor Robert Ortt, Grand Island Supervisor Mary Cooke, New York State United Teachers, Laborers Local 91, New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association and 2010 Republican gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino.
