Wayne Pollow running for Town of Porter justice

Wayne Pollow has announced his candidacy for Town of Porter justice in the upcoming election this fall.

Pollow is a true Porter resident; he has lived in the Town of Porter for 59 years. He graduated from Wilson Central in 1972, married his wife, Debbie (Johnston), 36 years ago and raised two daughters, Courtney and Brittany.

Pollow has been extremely involved in and dedicated to the Town of Porter throughout his entire life. In 2008, he retired from the Town of Porter after 33 years of service. He worked for 25 years with the Water Department and eight years for the Highway Department alongside David Truesdale.

Outside of his professional work with the town, Pollow volunteers and continues to give back to his community. For the past 41 years, Pollow has been a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company and Exempts. He served as president for seven years where he was known for being open minded and non-judgmental and is currently fire police lieutenant for the company.

Throughout his fire company membership, Pollow has chaired and served on multiple committees alongside Walt Holmes. Pollow has his MercyFlight Landing Zone certification and is a member of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York. Pollow has volunteered with many other community organizations, including serving as a former Town of Porter Recreation Board member for 10 years, former T-ball coach for three years, and former assistant varsity softball coach at Wilson High School for three years.

Pollow is a member of 3F Club, Wilson Conservation Club, and Niagara County Gobblers Association serving as past vice president and current treasurer. Pollow is also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown and is serving as a deacon.

On Sept. 13, Pollow will be running for the seat that will be vacated by retiring Justice Walter Holmes. Pollow has successfully obtained candidacy for all party lines in the upcoming primary election.
