Sixth cardiologist to join Heart Center of Niagara team

Sachin Wadhawan, M.D., has been appointed to the medical staff at The Heart Center of Niagara effective Aug. 13.

Wadhawan, a member of Buffalo Heart Group LLP, is a graduate of University College of Medical Sciences, India, and Government Medical College, Amritsar, India. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Wadhawan is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in nuclear cardiology. He holds current certifications in echocardiography (including transesophageal echocardiography/TEE), Holter monitoring, treadmill and nuclear stress testing, carotid doppler testing and aortic ultrasound interpretation.

He joins Buffalo Heart Group cardiologists Marie Iacona, Alan Meholick, Robert Neufeld and Phong Nguyen-Ho, and Medical Director Dr. Michael Merhige on The Heart Center of Niagara medical staff.
