Town of Niagara Police Blotter for May 23, 2012

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Town of Niagara Police between May 3 and 8.

Thursday, May 3

•6100 block of Grauer Road, drug check. Resident requested use of K-9 Cody for narcotics check of a son's bedroom.

•I-190 and Packard Road, accident. Multiple units responded for rollover accident.

•300 block of Quain Place, aid assist. Patrol assisted Sheriff's Office, DEA and ATF with drug raid.

Friday, May 4

•8300 block of Third Avenue, larceny. Complainant reported theft of an ATV secured with a cable lock off a trailer in his driveway.

•2500 block of Military Road, larceny. A 23-year-old Niagara Falls woman and a 25-year-old Lewiston woman were arrested for shoplifting $206 in merchandise at a business.

•5200 block of Tuscarora Road, noise complaint. Ongoing problem reported with college residents.

Saturday, May 5

•2100 block of Juron Drive, EMS. Child having asthma attack. Rural Metro Ambulance on location.

•300 block of Quain Place, burglary. Friend of family stopping at residence reported television, stereo equipment and various pills missing. Police report requested so items could be claimed on homeowner's insurance.

Sunday, May 6

•3100 block of Sadlo Drive, reckless driving. Patrol received numerous calls in the prior week on a suspect driving recklessly in an area children were playing. The 46-year-old male said he was testing his brakes. He began to scream at and threaten patrol and tried to flee. He was arrested, and then transported to Erie County Medical Center for evaluation.

•Anthony Drive, harassment. A 21-year-old Lewiston male was arrested after complainant reported he came to his house to fight him over an ex-girlfriend.

•Packard Road, driving while intoxicated. A 31-year-old North Avenue man was arrested after he was pulled over for not slowing down at a two-car accident scene.

Monday, May 7

•Porter Road, Military Road, Lockport Road, Duluth Street and Tuscarora Road at Effie Drive, traffic tickets. Patrols issued tickets for various charges in 19 traffic stops.

•5200 block of Mayle Court, assist citizen. Homeowner locked in bedroom.

•700 block of Sunnyside Drive, animal complaint. Complainant reported a neglected dog chained to a doghouse behind a residence. SPCA to investigate.

Tuesday, May 8

•2000 block of Military Road, larceny. A 17-year-old Buffalo female was arrested for shoplifting at a business after she put aluminum foil around a security sensor and left with a purse valued at $99.99.

•7300 block of Greenview Road, EMS. Patrol, Niagara Active and Rural Metro responded for a 75-year-old male who had fallen from his walker and was unable to get up.

•Jackson and Taylor drives, suspicious vehicle. Report received of a suspicious gold van in area. Nothing found.
