Like to golf just for the fun of it? Looking for a low cost tournament? The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum invites all golfers to its third annual "A-Round and A-Round of Golf" tournament to help support the operation of the museum. Enjoy 18 holes at the Rothland Golf Course in Clarence, part of Fifty-Four flags, Western New York's largest golf property.

The tournament takes place Saturday, June 16, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (Check-in is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. the morning of the tournament). Advance registration and prepayment are required; call the museum at 716-693-1885 or [email protected]; or download the registration form at www.carrouselmuseum.org. The cost is $85 per golfer ($22 if you would like to attend just the lunch portion of the event).

Organizers welcome your foursome, twosome, or individual golfers to join in for a great morning of activities, including coffee and donuts at the turn, a raffle, silent auction, and prizes, and a buffet lunch to conclude the event. Along with trophies for the winning team, there will be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin at defined holes. Mulligans will be available along with a 50/50 split club and silent and basket raffles.

The Carrousel Museum not only preserves the history of a very unique Western New York industry, it also presents numerous special events and activities for families to learn and have fun together. The museum needs the support of the Western New York community to continue to provide these low-cost opportunities for family recreation.

If golf isn't your thing, you can still support the museum by being a hole sponsor for $50, or by donating items for the raffle. Contact the museum for more information on how you can help.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda. For directions and further information about special events, programs or group tours, visit www.carrouselmuseum.org, call 716-693-1885 or email [email protected].
