Brighten someone's day with a fresh bouquet. Staff and volunteers from the Niagara Hospice Alliance are gearing up for their 2012 spring bouquet sale. The sale runs March 5-11 with pre-sale bouquets available now through the end of February.
In 2011, the sale raised more than $10,000 to support Niagara Hospice care across the county. Organizers are looking to double that number this year. Several local businesses, schools, service groups and churches have offered to help by pre-selling or by agreeing to sell bouquets at their respective locations.
Niagara Hospice Alliance Event Coordinator Mandy Raff said, "The colorful spring bouquets sell for just $8 each, and are a wonderful way to brighten someone's day while supporting the programs and services of Niagara Hospice."
Proceeds from the sale help support the mission of Niagara Hospice, which is to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time. No one is denied hospice care due to ability to pay. The Niagara Hospice Alliance raises funds to help offset costs for individuals who are under- or uninsured. Gifts made to the Niagara Hospice Alliance are tax-deductible and help provide end-of-life care to Niagara County residents in need.
