Free events in honor of the stores' recent conversion to Rite Aid's latest "Wellness Store" layout
WHAT: In order to showcase the newly remodeled "Wellness Stores," which feature expanded pharmacy services and an enhanced selection of wellness products, the seven Rite Aid stores listed below will offer free health screenings, beauty demonstrations and product samples this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
Visitors to any of the listed locations can get free screenings for cholesterol, blood glucose, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and memory impairment, plus additional screenings that vary by location. Events also offer free body mass index readings, blood pressure readings and diabetes risk assessments. Beauty experts will be on hand to demonstrate cosmetic and nail makeovers.
Visitors also can sample organic, gluten-free or natural food products and pick up other product samples and coupons. Rite Aid Wellness Ambassadors will also be on hand to provide interactive product demos on iPads. As a regular addition to these and future Rite Aid "Wellness Stores," Wellness Ambassadors serve as a bridge between the front end of the store and the pharmacy as well as a liaison to the community during health events such as these.
WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 21, from noon to 4 p.m.
WHY: This new store format, which debuted in spring of 2011, is part of Rite Aid's continued commitment to providing services, products and resources to help its customers and their families live healthy lives. Additional information on Wellness Stores is available upon request.
