The Rotary Club of Niagara County Central held its first "Niagara Frontier Trivia Championship" on Nov. 12 at the Frontier Volunteer Fire Co.
Master of ceremonies for the event was Dennis George, "The Quiz Master."
The event was well attended and included many challenging contests for all participants, one of which was the contest that involved the selecting of "The Brain Winner" Brad Irish Jones.
Thirteen teams dared to challenge one another for the title of "2011 Niagara Frontier Trivia Champion." "The Quiz Master" slowly whittled the field down to two qualifying teams: the "Mind Erasers" and the "Sore Losers." In a decisive decision, the "Sore Losers" were proclaimed victorious.
The money raised will benefit the Rotary Club of Niagara County Central's Scholarship and contribution fund. The Rotary Club of Niagara County Central awards two $1,000 scholarship to seniors at each of the following schools: Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Wilson high schools.
