Assemblyman John Ceretto today announced he will conduct a health product drive for Heart, Love & Soul Food Pantry. This event will run from Nov. 30 until Jan. 4, 2012.

"With so many wonderful organizations dedicated to collecting food this holiday season, I am thrilled to work with Heart, Love & Soul and Sister Beth to collect the 'essentials' that are often overlooked and taken for granted," Ceretto said. "Heart, Love & Soul is a full-service pantry, and I know the kind-hearted people of Niagara Falls and Niagara County will participate in this noble effort. Anything we can do to help those in our area will make this truly a season of giving."

Ceretto said supporters may drop off their donations at his district office, located at 1700 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, as well as the Village of Lewiston Red Brick Municipal Building and the Youngstown Free Library. Recommended items include dish soap, laundry soap, men's and women's deodorant, shampoo, shaving cream and toilet paper.

"I know that those who visit our pantry will put these collected items to good use," said Sister Beth Brosmer, executive director of Heart, Love & Soul Food Pantry. "I am grateful to Assemblyman Ceretto for highlighting our efforts to care for those in need, and I look forward to getting these products to those who need them this holiday season."

Ceretto encouraged local schools and churches to aid in the collection drive. "This is a community-wide effort," he said. "Any donation is greatly appreciated. A small bottle of hand soap or a toothbrush can really help keep someone healthy this season."

For more information, or if you need someone to pick up your donation, contact Ceretto's district office at 716-282-6062.
