On Aug. 7, Independent Living of Niagara County will kick off its sixth annual bass fishing derby on the Lower Niagara River.

Individuals with and without disabilities will be able to participate in a competitive, fun sporting event.

Friends and family will be able to join the celebration at  the "Family & Friends Barbeque and Picnic" beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Fin, Feather & Fur Conservation Club, 904 Swann Road, Lewiston. Musical entertainment will be provided by Paleface and carnival games will be provided by the YMCA Lockport Team Club.
