Artpark's highly successful "Rock Camp" (July 25-30; $250) returns to bring out the inner rock star in young guitarists, bassists and keyboardists. Former executive director for the Music School of Niagara, Randy Andropolis will take the lead once again as "Rock Camp" director, urging campers to develop their musicianship skills.

The camp will focus on many different elements, including rhythm, lead, slide, acoustic, bass and keyboard styles. Campers will participate in individual ensembles, small groups, a combined band and even a rock orchestra. Enrollment requires a minimum of two years experience on instrument(s). Campers will "rock out" with a final performance on July 30 at 2 p.m. as an exciting part of "Free Family Saturdays" and the Niagara Wine Trail Wine and Culinary Festival.

"Rock Camp" is suitable for youth, ages 12-18, and takes place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enrollment is limited, as one-on-one instruction is emphasized. Full payment is due upon registration. Lewiston residents receive 10 percent off camp fees.

No drummer applications can be considered for this year's camp.
