Keillor and company back on the bus for 'Summer Love Tour'

Tickets for Artpark show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion Summer Love Tour" makes a stop at the Artpark Mainstage Theater in Lewiston on Sunday, Aug. 21. The show begins at 7 p.m. with tickets $55 for prime seating, $46.50 in sections A, B, C and $27.50 for lawn seating.

The popular radio host and his pals offer a variety of "A Prairie Home Companion" favorites as well as new ballads, poetry, and stories of love and marriage. The evening is jam-packed with beloved characters and skits including "Catschup Advisory Board," "English Majors and Poesy," the "Guy's All-Star Shoe Band," sound effects wizard Mr. Fred Newman, and will feature all the latest "News from Lake Wobegon."

More than 4 million listeners hear "A Prairie Home Companion" each week on 590 public radio stations, and abroad on America One and the Armed Forces Networks in Europe and the Far East.

Garrison recalls, "When the show started, it was something funny to do with my friends, and then it became an achievement that I hoped would be successful, and now it's a good way of life."
