Youngstown First Presbyterian to stage 'Jesus Christ Superstar'by jmaloni
First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown announces the production of "Jesus Christ Superstar," with performances April 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., in the church hall, 100 Church St., Youngstown.
Directed by Claudia Andres, the production features a cast of performers and musicians who blend a mixture of professional and novice talent. Included are: Chris Teal of Lewiston as Jesus; Bob Mazierski of Buffalo, Judas; Amy Teal of Lewiston, Mary Magdalene; Daniel Morris of Buffalo, Pilate; the Rev. Rex Stewart of Youngstown, Caiaphas; Jerry Andres of Youngstown, Annas; Jim Ibaugh of Ransomville, the priest; Drew Burke of Barker, Simon; Monte Jones of Youngstown, Peter; and Roger VanDette of Buffalo, Herod. Shown are Teal as Jesus and Morris as Pilate.
Also in the cast are Amy Freiermuth, Alan Rae, Anita and Don Harless, Bill Johnson, Rick Lecksell, Brodie McPherson, Sarah Andres, Hannah Barner, Sara Coykendall, Jacey Diez, Kelsey Jeffs, Hailey O'Connor, Stephanie Polka, Alyssa Vitch, Elyse Wall, Butch Johnson, Gary Zanardi, Debby Coutts, Teresa and Tiffany Hillman, Phila Ibaugh, Marcia Jones, LuAnna Olson, Sue Martinez, Mark Miller, Aileen Roth, Lynn Torpy and Lynn Zanardi.
Band members include: Mike Killian and Joe Fruscione, guitars; Jason Beaudreau, bass; John Lynch, drums; and Claudia Andres, keyboards. Choreography is by Stephanie Polka.
All performances are free-will admission.
