The Youngstown Free Library is now accepting applications for the Ruby Carey Memorial Scholarship.
Sue Wahl, library trustee and scholarship chair, reports the $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating Lewiston-Porter High School student who lives in the 14174 zip code and has a current library card in good standing. The applicant must be accepted to and actually attend an accredited community college, vocational school, college or university within the next 12 months.
Applications may be obtained at the Lewiston-Porter High School Guidance Office or the Youngstown Free Library. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 8.
