Informal conversation in Plattdeutsch is the reason for a get-together for lunch and talk at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Wheatfield Community Center.

The event is sponsored by the Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY every time a month has five Wednesdays. Lunch is provided through the Niagara County Office for the Aging, and a donation of $2.50 is requested. People do not have to be members to participate.
