St. Joe's Alumni weekend set for June 18-20

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's Alumni Weekend 2010 will be held June 18-20. Classes celebrating reunions (1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005), as well as all St. Joe's alumni are invited to participate in activities that include a golf tournament, a family picnic and a community Liturgy and breakfast.

The alumni golf tournament gets Alumni Weekend under way at 11 a.m. with lunch preceding an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start on Friday, June 18, at Glen Oak Golf Course in Amherst. Presented by the St. Joe's Alumni Association, proceeds from the event benefit the alumni endowment fund. The cost to participate is $125 per person or $100 for alumni who graduated after 2003. Alumni may also elect to take part in dinner only (following the round at 5 p.m.) for $50.

On Saturday, June 19, St. Joe's hosts an alumni family picnic from noon until 4 p.m., rain or shine. Activities include a bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts and a Buffalo Zoo exhibit for children; live music, and beer and wine tasting for adults; and food and beverages for all attendees. The cost to attend is $20 per adult.

On Saturday evening, nine groups of St. Joe's graduates will descend on various establishments throughout Western New York to celebrate individual class reunions.

Finally, on Sunday, June 20, all St. Joe's alumni are once again invited to participate in an all-class alumni family liturgy and brunch, which will be held at the school beginning at 10:30 a.m. There is no cost to attend.
