Lonestar to headline show at Fallsview Casino

Fri, Apr 12th 2024 11:40 am

Highly acclaimed country music group Lonestar will performing at Fallsview Casino’s OLG Stage in Niagara Falls, Ontario, at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

Having celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022, Lonestar, the highly acclaimed and multi-award-winning country group, delivered a new album “TEN to 1” – an invigorating rerecording of 10 of their No. 1 hits.

There’s something about combining nostalgia with innovation that turns a beloved memory into an engaging new experience. That’s the foundation for Lonestar’s “TEN to 1”: giving fans brand-new versions of the hits they have loved for years. As Forbes journalist Pam Windsor recently noted, “Lonestar is still going strong.” PEOPLE magazine recently spotlighted the importance of the band’s song, “I’m Already There” for Memorial Day, and underscored the song’s cultural importance as “the blockbuster hit that Lonestar took to No. 1 on the country charts back in 2001,” adding, “ ‘I'm Already There’ has long pulled on the heartstrings … an unofficial anthem of the U.S. military.”

Lonestar’s self-titled debut album in 1995 kick-started their success, featuring the popular tracks "Tequila Talkin' " and "No News." The band has garnered numerous prestigious accolades in the music industry, such as the 1996 Academy of Country Music award for New Vocal Group, the 2000 awards for Single and Song of The Year, and the 2002 recognition as Humanitarian of The Year.

The ACM, CMA and Billboard award-winning group is composed of Dean Sams, Michael Britt, Keech Rainwater and new lead vocalist Drew Womack. Lonestar has amassed RIAA-certified sales in excess of 10 million albums since their national launch in 1995, and achieved 10 No. 1 country hits, including “No News,” “Come Crying To Me,” “I’m Already There,” “What About Now,” and their crossover smash “Amazed” (which was also No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the first record since 1983’s “Islands in the Stream” to top both charts). The band’s awards include 1996 ACM “Top New Vocal Group,” 1999 ACM “Single of The Year” for “Amazed” (the song also won “Song of the Year”), 2001 CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” and 2002 ACM “Top Vocal Group.”

With an average of 80 dates worldwide per year, the band is celebrating over 25 years. All told, Lonestar have sold more than 10.5 million records since their formation.
