The Bandana's Super Bowl Sunday chili cookoff to benefit the Youngstown Free Library was a huge success. Fifteen chilis were entered and 75 people paid $10 to sample the chilis and vote on their favorites. After everyone had their fill of chili, the votes were tabulated and the winners were:

•1st place, Mark Salvatore with his white Buffalo chicken chili.

•2nd place, Chase Feeley with his squash chili.

•3rd place, Derek Martin with his “Whiskey for my men, beer for my chili.”

Each of the winners received a gift certificate from Bandana's.

With $750 from the sampling crowd, $241 from the 50/50 and $100 from the bake sale, the library realized over $1,000 from this fun event.
