The Orleans/Niagara BOCES adult education’s certified nursing assistant (CNA) class was hard at work in our health occupations technician lab at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center recently.

Teacher Deb Rettig was working with her students who were going over their skills. CNA is an entry-level role in the health care field that provides vital support to both patients and nurses. From transporting, bathing and feeding hospital patients to stocking medical supplies and logging patient information, CNAs are on the ground working to enhance patient outcomes. This career is a fantastic entry point for dozens of different nursing careers.

Our next class will be offered in April or May. Please contact Diana Petrizzo, B.S.N., R.N., at [email protected] if you are interested.
