The Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will hold a community forum about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia from 12:30-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.

“No individual or family should navigate the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease alone,” said Courtney Sipes, director of community engagement for the WNY chapter. “This forum is an opportunity to bring together community members affected by the disease, and dedicated staff and volunteers to talk about resources, programs and services available to them.”

Interested individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible at bit.ly/FebWNYForum or by calling 800-272-3900, as space is limited. The event is free, and lunch will be provided to those who register in advance.

The forum is funded in part through a grant from Foundation 214 Inc., a family-funded foundation engaged in serving veterans of the U.S. military, children and elderly in health care and education within the eight counties of Western New York.
