Girl Scouts of Western New York invites girls to “a fun-filled ‘Join-A-Thon’ event on Jan. 17, promising a day filled with creativity, community and the chance to win exciting prizes,” organizers stated. “This event, aimed at new registrants, also introduces girls to the incredible world of Girl Scouts.”

Girls and adults registering Jan. 17 will not only begin their Girl Scout journey, but also stand a chance to win one of three prizes: a $200 gift card, a $100 gift card or a $50 gift card. Each registrant will also receive an exclusive “Join-A-Thon” patch as a memorable keepsake.

In addition, new troops registering before Jan. 31 can win $200 toward starter funds. To qualify, a troop must have two leaders and a minimum of 10 girls. This initiative aims to support and jumpstart new troops on their Girl Scout adventures.

The press release stated, “Join us at any Girl Scout Western New York shop (11 a.m. to 7: p.m. Jan. 17) to be part of this fun-filled ‘Join-A-Thon.’ Activities for the day include delightful cookie tasting, designing your own cookie, engaging in cookie-inspired activities, and enjoying exclusive retail discounts, enhancing the Girl Scout experience.”

Furthermore, Girl Scouts of Western New York announces the upcoming Girl Scout summer camps. These camps offer an immersive experience in nature, fostering leadership skills, team building and adventures. Information will be available during “Join-A-Thon.”

Registrations for both the “Join-A-Thon” and GSWNY summer camps can be completed through www.gswny.org or by calling 1-888-837-6410 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. For those who prefer in-person registration, stores will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 17.
