Weather-related restrictions

Per the New York State Thruway:

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: TANDEM AND EMPTY TRAILER BAN: All restrictions on tandems, empty trucks and tractor trailers are removed on the New York State Thruway (I-90) from Exit 36 (Watertown – Binghamton – I-81) to the Pennsylvania state line, and on the Niagara Thruway (I-190) between I-90 and Exit 22 (Route 62).

TUESDAY UPDATE: BUFFALO: SPEED RESTRICTIONS: 45 mph speed restrictions lifted I-90 Exit 50-PA state line both directions, and I-190 Exit 1-Exit 21 both directions.

BUFFALO: SPEED RESTRICTIONS I-90 EXIT 50-PA LINE, I-190 EXIT 1-21: 45 mph. The speed limit on the New York State Thruway, between Exit 50 and the Pennsylvania state line, along with I-190 between Exit 1 and Exit 21, has been reduced to 45 miles per hour due to high winds. Motorists are advised to avoid travel when possible and exercise caution.

BUFFALO: TANDEM AND EMPTY TRAILER BAN Due to high winds, all tandems, empty trucks and tractor trailers are restricted from traveling on the New York State Thruway (I-90) from exit 36 (Watertown – Binghamton – I-81) to the Pennsylvania state line, and on the Niagara Thruway (I-190) between I-90 and exit 22 (Route 62) until further notice.
