Destination Niagara USA announced the success of its annual holiday ornament sale, which raised more than $850 to benefit the 95th annual Niagara Falls Fire Department toy fund. Officials said, “This initiative, aimed at supporting local families during the festive season, exemplifies the community spirit and generosity within Niagara Falls.

“The holiday season is a time for giving, and Destination Niagara USA is proud to have contributed to the efforts of the Niagara Falls Fire Department toy fund.”

The funds raised through the sale of the specially designed commemorative ornament will directly assist the fire department in providing toys and gifts to children in need throughout the Niagara Falls community.

Destination Niagara USA President and CEO John Percy said, “We are delighted with the overwhelming support and generosity of our community during the annual holiday ornament sale. Being able to raise more than $850 to assist the Niagara Falls Fire Department toy fund in their efforts to bring joy to local children is incredibly rewarding. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and made this initiative a success.”

The holiday ornaments, featuring a new design for 2023, were sold in the Niagara Falls USA Visitor Center and online.

Firefighter John O’Malley said the Niagara Falls Firefighters Christmas toy fund has helped hundreds of families in need so far this holiday season, and the donations enabled firefighters to provide two toys to 800 children, and clothing items for 280 children.

So far this year, the Niagara Falls Fire Department toy fund has raised $65,000.
