Buffalo Zoo starts winter operating hours

Starting Monday, Nov. 13, the Buffalo Zoo will be closed to the public every Monday through Thursday and open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. These seasonal operating hours will last until March 28, 2024.

The Buffalo Zoo will be open during the week over the winter holiday (Tuesday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Dec. 29), as well as Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2024 (Monday, Jan. 15) and Presidents Day (Monday, Feb. 19). The site is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

While the Buffalo Zoo will be closed to guests Monday through Thursday, animal care teams and staff will continue their daily routines. On-site education programs are available for enrollment and will continue during the week.
