After several years' hiatus, Friends of the Youngstown Free Library will host the popular "Dessert and Wine in the Stacks" fundraiser – the bake sale with a twist – from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the Youngstown Free Library, 240 Lockport St.
The event features desserts and appetizers prepared by volunteers from recipes found in the library’s cookbook selections. These will be offered throughout the library stacks. A selection of wines will be available on the second floor. The Youngstown History Museum will also be open for this event.
Advance tickets are available at the library and will be on sale until noon during library hours. The cost is $10 for 12 tickets in advance, or $10 for 10 on the evening. All proceeds support the Youngstown Free Library.
