2,000-pound pumpkin takes top prize at weekend event

The Great Pumpkin Farm’s annual World Pumpkin Weigh-off took place Saturday at the farm’s 28th annual Fall Festival. A 2,023-pound pumpkin, submitted by the Andrusz family from Williamsville, took the top prize of $1,000.

Though massive, the orange attraction fell short of the world-record weight, which us 2,708.8 pounds.
