Catholic Health Press Release

Catholic Health is pleased to welcome Robert Orlowski to the emergency services team. Orlowski will be serving as an emergency medical services (EMS) liaison, with a focus on the Niagara County region.

In his role, Orlowski will serve as a liaison between the hospitals and the pre-hospital providers in emergency services. He will play an active role in establishing and building relationships, improving communications and enhancing our connections with the EMS, fire, police and transport agencies with whom Catholic Health routinely interacts. In cooperation with our other EMS liaisons, he will actively participate in community events, particularly those that involve emergency care and disaster response, as well as educational opportunities.

Orlowski has an extensive background in emergency medical services, including over 20 years of experience as a firefighter with the North Tonawanda Fire Department and previous service as a paramedic with Twin City Ambulance. Prior to accepting the role with Catholic Health, he was employed as a manager with American Medical Response.

“We are grateful for the expertise and enthusiasm Robert has brought to this important role,” stated CJ Urlaub, Mount St. Mary’s Hospital president and senior vice president of strategic partnerships, integration and care delivery for Niagara County. “He will be working hard to enhance the relationships between our local first responders and the providers at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, as well as the new Lockport Memorial Hospital.”

Orlowski has received multiple honors and awards during his career, including the American Legion of WNY’s Firefighter of the Year and the 100 Club of Buffalo Hero Award in 2023.
