Registration is now open for art camp

The Carnegie Art Center will host a summer art camp, Aug. 24-26, geared toward children ages 8-12 years old.

Organizers said, “While this is a family-friendly event, anyone participating in the class must register and pay the fee. Two-hour classes will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, lunch break noon-12:30 p.m. (children should bring their own lunches), with the second class taking place 12:30-2:30 p.m. Classes will be taught by Ginny O’Brien, Martha Rogala and Chris Kameck. Classes are $25 each, or a special rate of $45 for the day (save $5 with this option). All supplies will be provided.

Program coordinator Natalie Brown said, “We saw success in the spring art camp we hosted in April, and we are thrilled to provide another art camp for the community before school begins.”

Preregistration for each day of classes is required, and is available on the Carnegie Art Center’s website: www.carnegieartcenter.org.

The Carnegie Art Center is a nonprofit organization that “promotes and encourages the development of visual and performing arts. Through the presentation of exhibitions, concerts, performances, classes, and other fine art activities, the Carnegie provides educational and cultural enrichment to the Western New York Region.”
