TFK, Adelitas Way join forces to release project’s debut single, a new recording of RIAA Certified Gold ‘War Of Change’

Press Release

Ontario, Canada-bred international rock favorite Thousand Foot Krutch reignites for its first new project in over six years, this time with the help of several of its musical peers. The album, titled “The End Is Where We Begin: Reignited,” includes newly recorded performances morphed with the original tracks from the band’s hugely successful independent recording, “The End Is Where We Begin.” The first single from the project, released Friday, was “War Of Change (2023),” featuring Thousand Foot Krutch and Las Vegas-based rockers Adelitas Way. Premiering on SiriusXM “Test Drive”, the single is also available at digital and streaming outlets globally from Endurance Music Group and The Fuel Music via https://slinky.to/WarOfChangeTFK.

“Creating ‘The End Is Where We Begin’ was a special and defining moment that will always hold a special place in my heart,” Thousand Foot Krutch founder, vocalist and songwriter Trevor McNevan said. “It was a time of big faith steps, trusting our hearts and leaving behind any securities of a record label. The album was forged through a fire, creating a special relationship with our audience in a new way. Not only did the audience show up, but they also walked with us. I’ll never forget it.”

McNevan continued, “It’s an honor to have so many cool bands/vocalists involved with the ‘Reignited’ edition that Endurance Music Group has put together – hearing different expressions and interpretations of things and hopefully connecting audiences in a new way.”

“ ‘The End Is Where We Begin’ was our first independent release. A leap of faith. One that we took on with our fans, friends and new team,” TFK bassist Joel Bruyere said. “We were able to create exactly what we wanted to, how we wanted to, and I look back on it with the same gut feeling as I did back then. Trev tapped into some incredible stories told in the most raw and honest way. I cannot wait for people to hear the new take on these special songs.”

“I have a lot of love for Thousand Foot Krutch,” said Adelitas Way’s lead vocalist and songwriter Rick DeJesus. “Trevor brings so much emotion and energy to ‘War Of Change,’ it excited me to sing it with him. I hope we get to rock it out on stage someday!

“It was a smooth, fun day recording ‘War Of Change’ with Joel,” DeJesus added. “He did a great job recording, and I love his mix! The song has a positive message of strength and change for the better. Its message is more relevant now than ever.”

Along with Adelitas Way, additional well-known artists have recorded “The End Is Where We Begin” tracks on this remarkable “Reignited” album, reimagining the songs that have rocked generations of fans for over a decade. The featured artists and the new music will be revealed in the coming months.

Nashville-based Endurance Music Group, known for its work with independent rock and country artists and songwriters, will be partnering with TFK for the first time on its “Reignited” project.

“Working on this album with TFK has been a dream come true,” EMG Senior Vice President Mark Ahlberg said. “Each of the artists that jumped onto these tracks brought their own passion and flavor to the recording, and I'm excited for people to get a taste of that with ‘War of Change (2023)’ and Adelitas Way.”

The roots of this project began in 2012 when TFK took a huge risk, walking away from record label life to release the SiriusXM Octane-nominated “Epic Album of the Year” and Billboard No. 1-selling hard rock album “The End Is Where We Begin.” Launching with the band’s biggest sales debut to date, the five-star acclaimed indie album went on to spark five active rock hits and four Christian No. 1s that continue to resonate with the band’s fans. In 2021, the album garnered two RIAA Gold Single certifications, including for its single “War Of Change.” This track also landed at No. 1 on both “Octane Big-Uns Countdown” and at Christian radio, while further becoming the band’s first-ever independent video that has now received 68 million views on YouTube alone.

With “War Of Change” leading the charge, by mid-summer 2014, “The End Is Where We Begin” had gathered 215 million YouTube streams alone, while averaging 296,000 plays every day. The success landed TFK’s McNevan, Bruyere and drummer Steve Augustine on the biggest rock festivals of that time nationally, including “Rock on the Range,” and mainstage appearances at “Rocklahoma” and “Carolina Rebellion.” Since then, the band has literally received billions of streams.
