Newfane-based children's author Diana Tuorto will host a children’s horse craft and book signing at Artisan Alley (2714 Main St., Newfane) during Newfane Gazebo Concert Night, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26.

While supplies last, stop by to create a free horse craft.

Buy a copy of Tuorto’s picture book, “How Angel Horses Become Unicorns,” or two copies of Tuorto’s other titles to get a free small plush unicorn keychain, while supplies last.

Purchase signed copies of Tuorto’s five horse/unicorn books as a set for $30 or get discounts on individual titles, most $5 a copy.

“How Angel Horses Become Unicorns” was awarded as a finalist in the 2022 Independent Author Network Book of the Year Children's Fiction Illustrated category.

Tuorto’s books won Honorable Mentions in the 2022 Purple Dragonfly Awards, in addition to Story Monsters Approved! awards and honors at the 2021 EQUUS Film and Arts Festival.

Most of Tuorto’s books are written from a horse’s point of view. Her books range from an illustrated picture book (ages 4-7-plus) and easy reader (5-8-plus) to three middle grade novels (8-12-plus).

A portion of Tuorto’s book proceeds benefit several equine charities and rescues.
