The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum announced the return of its signature event, “Touch a Truck,” to Canalside. The Western New York community is invited to join in the free fun at Canalside on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 30, with a quiet sensory hour from 10-11 a.m. for those who are sensitive to loud noises.

A press release stated, “Families can see, touch and explore over 30 trucks, with giveaways, activities and surprises for everyone at no charge. Thanks to our presenting sponsor, M&T Bank, children can explore construction, utility and first-responder vehicles; honk the horn of a firetruck or sit in the driver’s seat of a bulldozer – all for free! Families can meet special guests; participate in engaging activities and go home with some fun giveaways.

“The fun continues inside the museum with pay-what-you-wish admission, thanks to our friends at Savarino Companies! Explore & More is offering reduced admission – choose from either $5, $7, $9 or $13 admission. There will also be a variety of fun, truck-themed activities for children and families.”

The museum's in-house restaurant will be open to everyone. The Low Bridge Cafe will serve up pizza, snacks, ice cream and other refreshments, so families can relax and enjoy a bite to eat.

While registration is not required to attend “Touch a Truck” outside at Canalside for free, those planning to go into the museum and participate in the activities inside do require a ticket. More information and tickets can be purchased here.
