The Grand Island Neighbors Foundation was the recipient of $5,000 from the Greater Buffalo Track Club (GBTC), resulting from the Grand Island Half Marathon held at Beaver Island State Park on May 6.
“The Neighbors Foundation is very grateful to the Greater Buffalo Track Club and all the sponsors/participants in the event who helped make this possible, particularly Roger King, the president of the GBTC,” said Neighbors Foundation President David Conboy.
The Neighbors Foundation will use the donated funds to provide confidential food assistance to those in need on Grand Island.
