Almost Queen: A tribute to Queen performing at Outer Harbor on Aug. 26

The Rich Entertainment Group and Buffalo Waterfront Management Group announce tribute band Almost Queen will perform at the Outer Harbor’s Lakeside Event Lawn presented by Upstate Honda Dealers on Aug. 26 at 6 p.m.

Almost Queen has been hailed as the most authentic Queen live show since the days of Queen themselves. A deliberate four-piece band, Almost Queen delivers a live performance showcasing signature four-part harmonies and intricate musical interludes. Donning genuine costumes, Almost Queen recaptures the energy and precision that is the ultimate Queen experience.

Local band Mayday will open the show. A Buffalo Music Award-winner, Mayday covers a variety of popular ’90s music, and has opened for national acts Framing Hanley, Brand New and Rise Against.

Almost Queen marks the latest announced act for the Seneca Casinos Outer Harbor Concert Series. Upcoming shows in the series include Our Lady Peace, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra with The Strictly Hip, “Alter Bridge – Pawns & Kings Tour,” Dark Star Orchestra, Arkells and Jimmy Eat World/Manchester Orchestra.

Exclusive presale for Seneca Gaming Club members opens at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29. General admission tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 30. General admission tickets cost $20, plus fees. VIP tickets are available for $40 and include two drinks, access to the Upstate Honda Dealers' VIP tent, priority seating section and front-of-stage access. The Lakeside Event Lawn presented by the Upstate Honda Dealers is located at 825 Fuhrmann Blvd., on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. The parking lots adjacent to the venue are free to event ticketholders and will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking lots open for this event at 5 p.m., and concert gates will open at 6 p.m. Additional parking is available along Fuhrmann Boulevard. The venue strongly encourages ride-sharing and alternate modes of transportation when possible.
